After attending college, a young Yosh decided to help his father at their family farm in Fresno. Yosh had been working at his family farm for ten years when, nearly fifty years ago, Baloian Farms approached him and offered him a full-time position as the farm manager for their Fresno location—the rest is history.
For the past decade, Yosh has been at the helm of Baloian Farms as its President, overseeing all farming operations across California. His role is multifaceted, ranging from managing outside growers to scheduling planting dates and supervising a team of six. Regardless of peak season’s challenges, Yosh’s leadership ensures that all farm operations run smoothly.
Yosh’s talent is undeniable; farming is in his DNA, so there are things he knows that are innate. He’s a parent to everything planted and knows how to get maximum yields under any circumstances. Even more than his innate talent, Yosh represents the essence of Baloian Farms—a devotion to family, loyalty, respect, and perseverance.
A while ago, Yosh was battling stage three cancer, and both his work and personal family became one. Yosh credits all of them for his recovery from cancer. The love that Yosh has for his Baloian family and his family at home has no boundaries and is his motivation for his continued success.
Yosh was born in Japan and raised in Fresno since he was 10. He’s happily married to his wife, and they have two grown sons. In his spare time, his hobbies include hunting and fishing.
