New York Steak Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

New York Steak, approx. 12 oz

Heart of Romaine

Colored Bell Peppers, Red, Yellow, and/or Orange

English Cucumber, or Petite Persian

Italian Sweet Red Onion (some chopped for marinade, use the majority sliced for serving)

Fresh Cilantro (majority chopped for marinade, with some reserved for garnish)

Fresh Lemon (majority cut into wedges for juicing and a few for garnish)

Ripe Avocado (sliced for final presentation)

2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 Tsp Chili Powder

Pinch Cumin

1 Tsp Onion Powder

Pinch Fresh Black Pepper

Pinch Fresh Black Pepper


Directions

In a small bowl, marinate steak with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, onion powder, black pepper, garlic salt, and chopped cilantro. Squeeze lemon juices into the mixture. Refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes to let the flavors permeate the steak.

Meanwhile, rince and slice the vegetables into long, thin strips. The Colored Peppers and Red Onions can be served fresh or grilled depending on your preference...

Preheat the grill and grill the steak to your desired level of doneness. Internal temperature recommendation for Medium is between 135-145 degrees F.

Slice the cooked steak into long thin strips.

Rinse and separate the leaves of Romaine Lettuce to be used as wraps
